The red button is used to stop (1st press) and start a scan, (2nd press, provided sequence is ready in control room)

The eject button is used to eject the scanbed.

This button on the intercom is used to stop a scan and to release the scanbed.

Tap #1: stop scan. Tap #2: release scanbed

"Stop Scan" in control room:

A non-ferromagnetic extinguisher, this device should remain in the MRI scan room.

Use as indicated

Fire Extinguisher in scan room:

This button kills electrical power to scanner. Repair time is extensive after depression of the button, so use ONLY when electrical power is the cause of a fire or emergency.

Emergency Power Off (only):

This button is used only as a last resort to stop the magnet field. Depress only if a subject is somehow pinned to the magnet and all else fails. Beware: Resetting a quench is extremely costly (thousands of dollars).

Step 4: Remove subject from scanner

Step 5: Save or send a scan to a CD or computer

Step 6: Delete archived data from computer

Step 7: Leaving system
