The screen should be mostly empty with a list of pre-queue items in the lower right corner. If it is not, re-enter Patient Registration information 1) On the intercom, advise the subject that he/she will hear a series of loud noises for a period of minutes. Remind the subject to remain still. ---->Warning: Scan will begin after the next step 2) Highlight "Routine" to the right of "Programs" in the upper left of the prequeue box and click the button marked "<<" to load all the scans into the queue and begin scanning. To select particular scans to run, highlight multiple scans (hold control while selecting), and click "<<". |

Scans will run until the queue reaches a "working man" icon, or a "flagman" icon |

3) Once the first scan (the localizer) is complete, adjust the brain slices so that the indicated yellow boxes enclose as much of the brain as possible. |
4) The "working man" and "flagman" icons are pausing points for the sequence of scans. If one comes up, review the information indicated on the pop-up window, and proceed by clicking "Continue," "OK," or "Scan" as necessary. These are useful for parts of a study which require overt subject interaction (e.g., a subject to hold his/her breath or move particular structures at intervals). At any point, communicate with the patient using the intercom |
