Note:

"Preregister," the button toward the bottom of the Patient Registration window, allows one to input information about a subject to be scanned at a later time. This is a convenience feature provided to help save time for multiple entries

...last step: moving subject into scanner

1) select "Register" from the Patient menu at the top of screen to open the Patient Registration window..

2) Enter "Patient" information as completely as possible. Input of an age is sufficient for the computer to calculate a date of birth, just as age can be computed from entry of birthdate information. All 7 bold items are required to scan.

3) Enter and select "Study"information in the appropriate forms. The type of study will load the appropriate scans to be done. Enter information if available. Unless otherwise noted, select "head first - Supine" for subject position.

4) When the registration information has been entered completely, click the Exam button. This brings up a confirmation window. Provided the information is correct, select Confirm.

Note: Warnings may follow if unusual information is entered. Proceed or edit as indicated.
