The rank of 8 serial ports next to the hard drive will allow a user to connect external drives

The power button: the silver button in the upper right corner of the user face. This is NOT the CD eject button

The three "buttons" adjacent to the power button are LED diodes. The port to the left of the LED diodes is a non-functional firewire port to attach firewire (aka iEEE, 1394) external devices.

The tan module just below the power button is a "PlexWriter" CD writer. The button in its lower right corner is a CD eject button. The headphone jack and volume selector are non-functional.

Below the writer is the black CD reader module, with its black CD eject button in the lower right corner

Just under the CD drive is a floppy disk drive, with its eject button and LED diode.

To the right of the floppy drive are two non-functional USB ports as well as headphone and microphone input jacks. These are all non-functional.
